How to check a dental clinic in Turkey before you enquire

Start with the legal name

The name on Instagram, a billboard, or a friend's message may be a brand. The name on an invoice, a licence, and an authorization list may be a company. Ask the clinic for the legal name, the city, and the name of the dentist who would treat you. Write them down before you compare prices.

If the names do not match, you do not yet know who would be responsible for the dentistry. That is the first check. It is not an accusation.

The Ministry's lists

The Turkish Ministry of Health's Health Tourism Department publishes pages for health facilities and for intermediary organizations it has authorized. The facility page we checked said the lists were updated on 20 August 2026 and linked separate lists for hospitals, medical centres, practices, and other facilities. Lists change. Open the current page yourself. Search the legal name, and try the brand name only as a second pass.

What a listing can support:

• this legal entity appeared on the Ministry's authorized-facility list on the day you looked

What it cannot support:

• this clinic is the safest, the cheapest, or the best
• your treatment will succeed
• a different brand name in the same city is the same organisation
• an intermediary that messaged you is the clinic

Intermediaries have a separate list. A company that arranges patients is not the same fact as the facility that treats them. If an agency is between you and the clinic, ask which legal entity holds your deposit and which legal entity employs the dentist.

Facts VeriClinify will and will not invent

Questions to send with the name

• Legal name and city, as they should appear on the list.
• Name of the treating dentist.
• Whether the facility, not only an agency, appears on the current Ministry list.
• The implant or crown brand, in writing, if that is the treatment.
• The warranty text, not a slogan. See warranties.
• Who receives a deposit, and under what refund terms. See questions before a deposit.

What this means for patients

Checking a clinic is a reading skill. You can do the list search yourself, and you can ask VeriClinify to record what an operator can actually verify. Neither path ranks clinics. A clinic that is hard to match to a legal name is a reason to pause, not a reason to invent a match.

A thirty-minute check you can do yourself

Set a timer. You are looking for contradictions, not for a winner.

1. Write the brand name you were sent and the legal name the clinic replies with.
2. Open the Health Tourism Department's current facility list and search both.
3. Open the intermediary list if an agency is involved.
4. Compare the city on the list with the city on the offer.
5. Open the clinic website and see whether the dentist named in the offer appears there. Absence is a question, not a finding of fraud.
6. Save the date you looked. Lists move. Your note should say "as published on this date", not "verified forever".

What a glossy site cannot prove

Awards on a homepage, a count of patients, and before-and-after photographs are claims. They need their own source if you want to rely on them. This guide does not tell you to ignore them. It tells you not to let them replace the legal name, the list, the dentist's name, and the written warranty. Those four are checkable without believing a score.
