What a Turkey dental package usually lists — and what it may leave out

A package is a list, not a mood

Dental travel adverts often put a treatment, a hotel, and a transfer in one sentence. The sentence is not the contract. The contract is the list in the offer you accept: what is included, for how many nights, for which teeth, and what is excluded.

Read the list in two columns.

Clinical. Examination, imaging, extractions, implants, abutments, provisional teeth, final crowns or bridge, grafts, medicines the clinic gives you, and the warranty.

Logistics. Named hotel, number of nights, airport transfer, local transport, translator, and flights. If flights are absent, they are not included. Do not fill the gap with a hope.

Lines that are often missing

The FDA's split of an implant into a body, an abutment, and the artificial tooth is the clinical version of this table. A package can include one of those parts and price the others later. Ask.

What "included by the clinic" means

Use that phrase only for a line the offer states. "Hotel available" means the clinic knows a hotel. "Hotel included for four nights" means those nights are in the price. The difference matters when you compare two totals. How to compare quotes shows where to put the line so you do not praise a cheaper total that omitted the hotel.

Aftercare is a clinical line, not a holiday line. A package that ends when you fly home has not described who sees you if something hurts in Estonia. Aftercare covers the records to carry back. It does not promise a local dentist will continue another clinic's plan.

Health insurance is not a package item

Tervisekassa's description of care in the EU and elsewhere is not a voucher for a Turkish package. Do not subtract a guessed reimbursement from the package price. If you think a service might be repayable, ask the fund with the exact description. This site cannot answer that for you.

What this means for patients

When you ask clinics for offers, ask them to copy inclusions in the same order: clinical lines, then logistics, then exclusions. You can then compare packages without pretending they are holidays. You still choose the clinic. A complete list is not a recommendation.

Nights, names, and the day you land

Count nights on a calendar, not in a slogan. If you land late, the first night may be a hotel you pay because the included nights start the next day. If the clinic day runs long, an evening transfer may not be the one named in the offer. Ask which transfers are scheduled and which are "available on request".

Ask the hotel name before you pay, not only the star rating. A star rating without a name cannot be checked. If the offer says "or similar", ask who decides what similar means and whether you can refuse the substitute.

Interpreter time is the same kind of line. "English-speaking staff" does not say whether the dentist speaks your language or whether a coordinator translates the consent. Ask when the consent is signed and in which language you will receive a copy. The Ministry of Health's health-tourism pages are about authorization of facilities, not about your hotel. Do not treat a listing as a package.

Medicines and letters

A package sometimes includes antibiotics or pain relief the clinic dispenses, and sometimes tells you to buy them. Ask which, and ask for the names in writing so a pharmacist or a doctor at home can read them. Do not ask this website to tell you what to take. Ask the clinic, and ask your own doctor if you already take other medicines.

Limitations

This page does not say what a typical package costs or what most clinics include. Those would be averages we have not measured. It describes how to read the list you were given. Ministry rules and clinic offers change. Recheck the written offer, not this article, on the day you pay.
