Dental implants in Turkey: how to read a preliminary plan
What an implant plan is made of, which parts a remote quote often leaves out, and which questions to ask before you compare clinics.

Short answer
A dental implant is a medical device placed in the jaw to support a crown, bridge, or denture. A price sent before an examination is preliminary. Ask for the brand and model, what is provisional, and what can change after imaging.
Key takeaways
- An implant system is a body, an abutment, and the tooth attached to it.
- Healing of the implant body may take several months or longer.
- Smoking may affect healing and long-term success.
- Keep the brand and model in your records.

What an implant is
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration describes dental implants as medical devices surgically placed into the jaw to restore chewing or appearance. They support artificial teeth such as crowns, bridges, or dentures. A typical system has an implant body, which is inserted where the tooth root was, and an abutment, which comes through the gum and supports the artificial tooth. A screw may connect those parts.
That structure is why a single price that says "implant" is incomplete. The fee might mean only the implant body, or the body plus abutment plus crown, or a temporary tooth as well. Ask which of those parts the number includes.
The World Health Organization describes untreated tooth decay as widespread and notes that oral diseases are largely preventable but still a major burden. That context explains why so many people need replacement teeth. It does not say that an implant is the right replacement for you.
What a clinic can know before it sees you
A clinic that has only a message, a photo, or a description can sketch a plan. It cannot confirm bone, gum health, bite, or medical risks. The FDA says overall health matters for whether you are a candidate, how long healing takes, and how long an implant may stay in place. It also says the healing process for the implant body may take several months or longer, often with a temporary abutment in the meantime.
If an offer promises a finished tooth on a date before anyone has examined you, treat that date as a hope. Ask which teeth, if any, would be provisional on the first visit and when the final tooth is planned.
Brand, model, and records
The FDA recommends asking which brand and model of implant system will be used and keeping that information. Do this before you compare prices. Two clinics can both say "implant" and mean different systems, different warranties, and different parts that a dentist at home can or cannot service.
Write down:
- brand and model of the implant body
- who places it (name of the dentist, not only the clinic brand)
- whether the abutment and crown are included
- whether the first teeth are provisional
- what the written warranty covers, and whether travel is included if something fails
Our page on warranties goes through the contract questions. All-on-4 and All-on-6 is a separate comparison for full-arch names.
Risks you should hear from the clinic, not from an advert
The FDA lists benefits such as chewing, appearance, and support for nearby teeth, and risks that include damage to nearby teeth, sinus perforation, jaw fracture during surgery, a bite that does not feel normal, a loose abutment screw, and implant looseness or loss. Complications can appear soon after placement or much later. Failure can mean another operation.
This is not a complete risk list for your health. It is a reason to ask the treating dentist what applies to you. Smoking may affect healing and decrease long-term success. If you smoke, say so before you accept a plan. Do not expect a clinic's advert to mention that.

A lower number on an incomplete row is not a saving. It is a missing row. Read why a quote can change before you treat the first email as the invoice.
What this means for patients
Use the implant page on VeriClinify as a category description, not as a recommendation of a country or a clinic. When you want more than one clinic to answer the same description, submit one case and compare the replies. You choose. If a named clinic already sent you a plan, you can ask for that clinic to be checked. Checking records facts. It does not score clinical quality.
Limitations
This guide does not give success percentages, prices, or healing times for a named clinic. The FDA's "several months or longer" is a general statement, not a schedule for your surgery. Your dentist sets the plan after an examination. The sources were checked on the review date. Device advice and clinic offers change.
Common questions
- Is a remote implant quote a final treatment plan?
- No. The clinic has not examined you. Bone, infection, and general health can change the number of implants, the need for grafting, and the price.
- Should I ask for the implant brand?
- Yes. Ask for the brand and model in writing and keep that note. A package price without a named system is hard to compare and hard to service later.

This guide is general information. It is not a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a promise of a result. A remote price is a preliminary estimate and may change after an examination. VeriClinify is not a dental clinic, a medical provider, or a travel agency.
VeriClinify is free for patients. We may receive a referral fee from a clinic when a patient chooses to proceed with treatment.
